Before the sports videogame hits stores on its official release date, 2K Sports teases new gameplay footage for NBA 2K16. In the latest trailer, the sportscasting duo of Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal will be joined by their fellow NBA on TNT analyst Kenny Smith.

According to Polygon, NBA 2K16's studio show will feature all three of the NBA on TNT personalities. Johnson, O'Neal, and Smith will now offer analysis during halftime and after the game. This is a step above from last year's NBA 2K15 , where CBS Sports caster and the retired basketball player only appeared before games.

Analyst Kenny Smith previously worked at Turner Sports for the NBA on TNT programming, especially in the postgame show, Inside the NBA, for more than 15 years. Smith also played in the NBA as a point guard for 11 seasons. Smith brings along the camaraderie and banter known between the three sportscasters.

As reported by Gamespot, 2K Sports has acquired the license for some college basketball teams to appear in the basketball videogame. College basketball may possibly be featured in the game's MyCareer mode.

2K Sports reportedly has the license for the following schools, which includes Arizona, Arizona State, Georgetown, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Texas, UCLA, UConn, Villanova, and Wisconsin.

As we previously mentioned, the developers are adding realism to the game's interactive feature. MyCareer introduces gamers to the social and business challenges of professional sports.

The He Got Game director, Spike Lee, worked the intricacies of a 12-day motion-capture shoot at 2K Games' Bay Area studios. Known for his passionate fandom over the New York Knicks, the Malcolm X director shot 90 minutes of "cinematic narrative," which translates to about 12 hours of in-game drama.

Lee had stated before, "We follow a kid through the trials and tribulations of being a top high school player and the decisions he has to make."

NBA 2K16 will be available on PlayStation, Xbox One, and PC on September 29.
