Russell Westbrook Previews His True Religion Holiday Men's Fashion Collection

On Saturday, Russell Westbook, the campaign creative director for True Religion, previewed items from the brand's Men's fashion Holiday 2015 campaign.

The Oklahoma City Thunder guard launched a line at Barney's last year. He compared his Westbrook-XO-Barneys New York Collection to his True Religion collection and said that the True Religion collection is "more 'me' coming up and kind of doing my own thing... my job is to come in with some more street style, different things that I see on a day-to-day basis from my peers."

"It's a blessing. I think when you get that title of being creative director some people take it for granted, and people in the fashion world truly understand what that means and for me that's a huge step, and something I'm trying to do in the long run," Westbrook said in an interview at the True Religion store in the SoHo district of Manhattan.

According to NBA.com, the True Religion Collection includes a trendy leather jacket, washed out denim shirts and oversized T-shirts.

Accoridng to Times Union, outside of his basketball life and his fashion statements as he heads to the locker room before every game, Westbrook's colorful style has made headlines. Westbrook has become a staple on the fashion scene, visiting fashion week, not only in New York, but in Paris and Milan, as well.

"Growing up, I would never think I would be doing anything like this, in a store like this, so it's a blessing to be able to see all different kids and parents and everybody here - so it's good," he said as fans stood outside the True Religion SoHo store in New York waiting on Westbrook's arrival.

Aside from his career in basketball and fashion, Westbrook has recently become a married man. He married his college sweetheart, just last month.

Congrats to Westbrook on his recent marriage and his success in the fashion industry and good luck to him and the Thunder this upcoming basketball season.
