Curb Your Enthusiasm star-creator Larry David's love for the game of golf is pretty evident from watching both the once-upon-a-time HBO series – which may or may not be getting a new season in the future – and Seinfeld (Kramer was an avid golfer). In fact, word has it that he's actually pretty good at the game. After all, President Barack Obama wouldn't play the game with just old schmuck, would he? Of course not!

In a new interview with Golf Digest, David discusses his game and what it was like playing with the President, a guy who he claims is a "great guy" to play with. In fact, David claims that he's learned two things from playing golf with President Obama: 1) [David] can't handle adversity that well, and 2) he's not that funny.

Which seems, well, crazy.

"You can tell how somebody handles adversity by ho they play on the golf course," he said, noting that Obama is way better than him at handling those difficulties that golf can bring. To that, he admits that he'll often-times play charity golf events, and he's regularly paired with people who pay a lot of money to play golf with him.

"They expect to be entertained for 4 1/2 hours. You cannot believe how disappointed these people are at the end of the second hole."

Adding to his rather level-headed outlook on both himself and life, some might find it surprising to see him playing at some of the most private clubs in the country, specifically ones that are often filled with both "pomp" and "elitism," as the publication suggests. To which David says, "Look, you're going to hate yourself anyway; what's another log on the fire?" speaking of the class system that's put into place by private golf clubs.

And despite his liberal-minded political and class views, he admits that he'll toss them aside for a good course and a good round of golf.
