Michelle Obama has landed a new television guest judge gig, as the First Lady is set to appear on Project Runway Junior this season. The FLOTUS has intrigued the country with her sense of style over the years, making her a perfect selection for the show’s expertise in the world of fashion.

Project Runway Junior is a spin-off of the extremely popular Project Runway series, which focuses on young aspiring fashion designers between the ages of 14-17.

According to Variety, contestants are set to compete against one another for California’s Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing, $25,000 to help launch their own line, a home sewing a crafting studio provided by Brother, and tons of other incentives planned out by the show’s creators. The first episode of the upcoming spin-off season premieres on Nov. 12th.

The First Lady’s appearance is already set; she will be judging the episode that airs on Dec. 10th, where she will introduce the challenge to all of the teen contestants. The project will be working with Lands’ End, and supporting Michelle Obama’s Let Girls Lean Initiative, which helps at least 62 million adolescent girls around the world go to school and stay in school.

Each competitor will be making a piece that will be sold on LandsEnd.com.

Mrs. Obama isn’t the only familiar name to be set on the panelist of judges, as she is set to also be joined by mentor and co-host Tim Gunn, supermodel Hannah Davis, Kelly Osbourne, designer Christian Siriano and finally, magazine editor Aya Kanai.

Hopefully viewers and fans will be able to see a few different signature looks from Michelle Obama, who has been noted for her classy fashion sense during her years living in the White House.

Despite any criticism some may have shown towards her and her husband’s views, her style has always been portrayed very positively.
