Despite Avengers: Age of Ultron dominating the box office back when it was released, it looks like not everyone in Hollywood is praising the film. Former Expendables star Jason Statham reportedly trashed the film's use of CGI and green screens. The comment eventually made its way to one of the film's stars, Paul Bettany, who suggested that perhaps its time Statham get an "acting double." Which basically means the film star called the Transporter lead a bad actor, no?

C'mon, Bettany – have you not seen his amazing performance in Crank?

Anyway, while sitting panel on Tuesday night's episode of CONAN, Bettany was asked if he had heard Statham's comment, which read: "I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and they'll put her on a green screen, and they'll have stunt doubles come in and do all the action. Anybody can do it."

To that, Bettany claimed that he did indeed hear the comment but doesn't understand why anyone would "talk smack" about anyone. He further said that Statham is "brilliant" at what he does (again – Crank). Having said that, he suggested he should think about "investing in an acting double."

Bettany mentioned that he's not one to "talk sh*t" about any of the work from his fellow actors (except for that comment, of course), but said that if there's a scene in a film with some very tricky dialogue, maybe Statham should take his suggestion.

Of course, he realizes that Statham's "very butch" and doesn't want to get into any physical altercations with him – because let's be honest, bad acting or not, Statham is rather badass and could most likely take Bettany down – but he thinks that acting double could be the way to go.

So, Jason Statham's acting abilities (seriously... Crank) – thoughts?
