Ty Dolla $ign promoted a "healthy" message with Raheem DeVaughn and his LoveLife Foundation to D.C. public school students. The “Paranoid” hip-hop artist was recruited by award-winning singer/songwriter and his philanthropic organization to surprise students at Dunbar High School in Washington, D.C. this week.

The two worked together to send a “healthy” message to students, encouraging them to live a much more health-beneficial lifestyle, including their eating habits and exercise plans within their every day lives. Both Dolla $ign and DeVaughn made sure to touch base upon the current Black Lives Matter movement sweeping the nation by conveying the message that their lives matter in their own speeches.

The two motioned to students that their lives do matter, which starts with taking care of their health and understanding the value of themselves as individuals. Fox5 TV’s Celebrity Chef from Hell’s Kitchen Season 13 and renowned Chef James “JR” Robinson of “KitchenCray” catering service joined the students for a cooking demonstration and taste-testing, teaching the students of their dietary and nutritional plans.

Both musicians shared stories of their rise to the top, with Dolla $ign personally speaking about his journey with the students and encouraged them to take care of themselves at an early age to adopt a healthy lifestyle for life. The vocalist has lost a significant amount of weight in the past few months, and has even gained some six-pack abs through his brand new healthier lifestyle.

The R&B crooner began the LoveLife Foundation back in April 2014, which has a huge emphasis on all things education, youth, HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, mental illness, autism, cancer, music, and the arts. The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization allows Raheem DeVaughn to embrace all of the causes that he finds closest to his hearts, and spread messages of positivity all while still maintaining his music career in the rhythm and blues genre.
