CNBC has renewed their new reality series, West Texas Investors Club for Season 2. The renewal announcement arrives in time as self-made multimillionaires Rooster McConaughey and Butch Gilliam meet their first season finale.

As we previously mentioned, during the eight-episode series, deep in the heart of Texas, the self-made multimillionaires Rooster McConaughey and Butch Gilliam have carved their fortunes from a harsh and unforgiving land. Now they've chosen to pass on their success by investing in promising entrepreneurs. But they're going to do it on their own turf and terms. Along with the duo's close friend and confidante Gil Prather, Rooster and Butch are inviting ambitious entrepreneurs from all across the country to come down to Midland and make their case.

According to Deadline, CNBC has picked up the sophomore season of the really show. From The Profit producer Charlie Ebersol, country music star Gil Prather is also involved in making the decisions on whose projects the group should invest in. Ebersol is joined by Mike Lanigan and Jason C. Henry as executive producers.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, McConaughey reveals how the show came about, "Butch and I have been investing for years and years, so we wanted to do the show here in Texas, just like we have. So these people come in a pitch us, and we put them through these challenges to test their product and their personality. It's really just to get to know 'em better and see if they can handle a little controversy."

When asked if his Academy award winning brother, Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club), will make an appearance on the show, Rooster adds, " I don't know, I have to let him see it first. He might not want nothing to do with it - or he might be crazy about it! Who knows."

The first season finale of West Investors Club airs September 22, 10pm on CNBC.
