Rock band Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney seems to have taken his beef with the teen star to a new level by changing his Twitter profile photo to that of Bieber, Feb. 17.

The drummer had commented on Bieber not getting a nomination for Grammys, he had said, "Grammys are for, like, music," Carney said. "Not for money ... and he's making a lot of money. He should be happy, I guess."

Bieber had tweeted that Carney has to be "slapped around" and his followers followed the cue. They have been sending offensive tweets to Carney who is graciously re-tweeting them.

Carney changed his Twitter profile to that of Bieber's with a tag line, "official twitter for the actual verified Justin Bieber DOS virtual buddy," TMZ reported.

All hell broke loose when Carney changed his photo to that of Bieber.

Here are some Belibers who Tweeted him:

SupportingJustin♥ ‏@Veroniikabieber: @patrickcarney I just read this news about a loser who was saying that Justin doesn't desserve a grammy, but wait what's this loser name?

BELIEBER ‏@blieber4life335: @patrickcarney i cant believe u that jelous ur so stupid how could u ever comepete with @justinbieber ur just loseing fans

"Do you even know how stupid and immature u look doing this. Aren't u like fifty?" wrote a user.

Another fan ranted, "your band's not even relevant in 2013. Stahp [sic] trying to get attention."

But since then he has removed the Justin Bieber profile. But he has put some funny pictures saying Carney himself is missing and with a word "missing" and sad face. He also has put some morphed pictures of Bieber with the Grammy.

Bieber's fans have been insulting the drummer needlessly.
