Six-Year-Old Maced During NYC Laundromat Attack [VIDEO]: Fernando Gonzalez Assaults Derrick Dunn and Daughter, Surrenders

Reports confirm that a "brute" by the name of Fernando Gonzalez burst into a Bronx, NYC laundromat on Saturday (Feb. 16) and unexpectedly began attacking Derrick Dunn and his innocent six-year-old daughter. During the violent assault, Dunn and the young child were maced. The NYPD released security camera footage of the attack on Monday, and just hours later, Gonzalez surrendered. He was arrested and charged with assault.

As the disturbing security footage shows, 27-year-old Gonzalez burst into the laundromat located on White Plains Rd. near Robertson Street around 6:10 p.m. on Saturday. He promptly began beating on 47-year-old Dunn, and even got the victim's young daughter involved. Apparently, Gonzalez initiated the attack over a dispute involving laundry carts. Apparently he came to "protect" his girlfriend's honor and "settle the score." He then flees the scene:

The video shows Gonzalez holding Dunn down and repeatedly beating on him. He then pulls out a can of mace, shakes it, and aims the painful right at Dunn and his six-year-old daughter.

The NY fire department told NY1 that two other people at the laundromat were also sprayed with Mace during the incident. They were promptly transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Eye-witness Rita Ferguson told ABC, "It was really, really awful. The way he beat that man was horrible. He started spraying, we thought it was a gun or something." 

After NYPD released the assault video on Monday, it soon went viral on the web. Not long after, Gonzalez surrendered himself. He was then arrested and charged for assault, according to authorities.
