Authorities say they've located the body of late country singer Mindy McCready, 37, on the same porch of her northern Arkansas residence where her boyfriend was found dead of an apparent suicide in January.

Fox News reports that Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss said on Monday that it seems that McCready shot and killed her late boyfriend David Wilson's dog prior to taking her own life on Sunday.

Moss said that McCready and Wilson's dog were found dead near one another at the home in Heber Springs, Ark., a vacation community roughly 65 miles north of Little Rock.

The authorities are also in the midst of investigating the details surrounding Wilson's shooting death. However, Moss said that an official determination has yet to be made, but "all indicators" are currently pointing towards a suicide.

One of McCready's ex-boyfriends feels that it was more than likely that the singer herself committed suicide, saying that she already made threats to take her own life earlier in the month after losing custody of her sons, but ended up being released from rehab mere days before allegedly following through with her prior threats.

Bill McKnight, who shares a son with McCready, said that the mother of two was in a court-ordered substance-abuse center for about 18 hours before checking out.

By phone from Tampa, Fla., McKnight said it was a "big mistake" for the treatment facility to allow the former country singer to leave, in lieu of her fiancé's death and the loss of her children.

McKnight is currently working with authorities to get their son Zander out of foster care.

McCready came to fame in the 90s while still a teenager, earning a recording contract with BNA Records. She is well known for her No. 1 hit song, titled Guys Do It All The Time, amongst several other notable tracks.
