WCBS-TV news anchor Rob Morrison got into a physical confrontation with his wife and attempted to choke her in their home in Connecticut. Police say a call was made early Sunday morning from the anchor's mother-in law about the fight and that he had been belligerent to his wife, Ashley Morrison - who is also a CBS consumer reporter- and became physical and choked her leaving marks on her neck.

When the police arrived, they arrested him and say that he was still making more threats to Ashley, promising that he would do more harm to her again. Although, shaken up and bruised, Ashley did not seek medical aid; however in a police mug shot the anchorman had some cuts on his face. In the photograph, Rob appears to have a bloody nose, a bruise, and a swollen lip.

On Tuesday, the CBS anchor was due in court after posting a $100,000 bond and currently faces charges of strangulation, threatening and disorderly conduct. The couple's attorney Robert Skovgaard stated about the "unfortunate incident, "The Morrisons are confident that a full review of this matter will show that the allegations have been greatly exaggerated," Skovgaard said.

Morrison isn't the only news anchor to be involved in a domestic violence dispute. Last November, Michael Scott was arrested after allegedly chocking, hitting her in the eye, ripped off two of her fake fingernails, and allegedly told his 38-year-old girlfriend "tonight was the night I was going to die like O.J. & Nicole."

In a different instance, a reversed role of abused was filed in 2008 against KAIT-TV news anchor, Diana Davis Wright by her husband Mitchell Wright who claimed that this wife committed a misdemeanor third-degree of domestic battery. Jonesboro Police Capt. Kelly Baggett, commander of Criminal Investigation Division said, "Mr. Wright advised that on May 4 he and his wife Diana got into a verbal argument," Jonesboro Patrolman Jonathan Wood wrote in his report. "[Mr. Wright] stated his wife then hit him in the face with an open hand, causing soreness to the bridge of his nose (Later found to be broken)."

In addition, the anchor woman's husband claimed that he was also struck beneath his eye, "... He stated that he and his wife had been in an argument because while they were at a restaurant Mrs. Davis had disciplined their children on something and it upset him that she did this in front of so many other people," Patrol officers Rick Guimond and Julie Dummer wrote in that report, adding they'd argued in the car on the way home. "At one point [Mitchell] Wright asked us to get back in our car and leave and that there was no problem and not to worry about this."
