Clive Davis Comes Out [Video]: Music Industry Legend Releases Memoir, Reveals He Is Bisexual

Clive Davis, a name synonymous with the Music Industry, has recently come out of the closet in an interview with Katie Couric, admitting that he is in fact bisexual. Davis is responsible for countless successful careers in the Music Industry including Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, Janis Joplin and Alicia Keys. This news accompanies the release of Davis' new book, The Sound Track of My Life.

Davis' memoir reveals that he has had 2 monogamous relationships over the last 20 years with men. He spent 13 years with a doctor and is currently in a relationship with an unnamed man who accompanies the iconic music producer to industry events as any partner would. The 80-year-old Davis was married twice and divorced both women, which made him realize his other attractions to men, stating:

"I opened myself up to the possibility that I could have a relationship with a man as well as the two that I had with a woman. I'm still attracted to women ... You don't have to be only one thing or another. For me, it's the person."

In a related statement in an interview with ABC's "Nightline," Davis emphasizes his bisexuality with the following:

"For over 50 years I never had sex with a male. I wasn't repressed. I had very good sexual relationships with women."

Bisexuality is not a widely accepted sexual preference. Many argue that "you're either straight or gay" and not "both." The music mogul does not care for this argument, saying:

"I'm not lying. [Bisexuality] exists. I never felt shame, no. I felt puzzled. The subject of bisexuality really needs much more discussion. It's a status that does exist."
