Montgomery Gentry Singer Eddie Montgomery's Son Hunter Dead at 19 Following an Accident

MStars News has learned that Montgomery Gentry singer Eddie Montgomery's son, Hunter, died at the age of 19 following an accident.

According to Billboard, Hunter was involved in an accident that left him on life support at a Kentucky hospital, where he died over the weekend.

"My son Hunter went to heaven today," Eddie, of the duo Montgomery Gentry, said. "I appreciate all your prayers and love and thank you for giving us privacy as we grieve and say goodbye."

The full statement on Facebook read: "Unfortunately, we have to fill you in on more heartbreaking news this morning from the Montgomery Gentry family. Our sincerest love, thoughts and prayers are with Eddie and his family today."

It continued, "Eddie Montgomery, one-half of the award-winning duo Montgomery Gentry, lost his son Hunter today after an accident that had the 19-year-old on life support in a Kentucky hospital."

Details on Hunter's funeral arrangements haven't been revealed just yet. Hunter's death comes just two day after the band revealed the death of their fanclub associate, Sharon Eaves.

In that statement the duo band wrote: "It is with heavy hearts that we let you know that Sharon Eaves passed away today. Many of you knew Sharon because she ran the Underground Fanclub for the last few years. Sharon was a great lady and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with her family and friends."

People revealed that Hunter was engaged to his girlfriend after popping the question to her onstage at one of his father's concerts last year.

Hunter was the youngest of four children. His father has had a lot of ups and downs in that past five years. One of those downs was when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2010.
