50 Cent Homophobic? Gay 'Empire' Diss Instagram Backlash, Taraji P. Henson 'Bad Ratings' Beef

Rapper 50 Cent openly despises the hit FOX drama, "Empire." But the "Candy Shop" emcee got a little too offensive on Instagram earlier this week, prompting an immediate apology to the LGBT community. So, what did Fifty do this time?

According to the popular gossip webloid HollywoodLife.com, the outspoken G-Unit hypeman shared another user's photo on Thursday (October 1) without realizing the caption's rather homophobic implications...

"There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night's #Empire episode!!! did you watch it??? We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!"

And Fifty supposedly believes this is why the show's ratings are now suffering after a very successful first seaosn.

Several angry fans immediately responded, and the post was quickly deleted. Apparently, Fifty didn't read the entire comment and totally overlooked the "anti-gay" rant. A rep for the Street King Immortal superstar later told TMZ this mistake was definitely "not a reflection of his views at all." Still, the "Power" mastermind's still in rather hot water with some followers:

@srgLIVEinHD: "Hating is just plain ignorant, and 50 Cent keeps showing his ignorance and immaturity with his social media antics."

@deLIBERnATION: "50 Cent thinks 'Empire' is a lot like 'Glee' & no, that's not a compliment // Misogynist homophobe."
