'The Flash' Season 2 Ep 1 Spoilers: Will Danielle Panabaker, Robbie Amell "Fight" Firestorm?

The CW network airs the Season 2 premiere of The Flash. Will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) have to rescue Ronnie Raymond aka Firestorm (Robbie Amell), from the arrival of Caitlin Snow's alter ego, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker)?

In our first season recap, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) awoke from his coma, after being struck by lightning. Given super-speed powers, Barry belonged to small group of friends, Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), and Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), who know his secret identity. They worked together against super villains, including Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), and teamed up with the Arrow (Stephen Amell). But they never realized their true enemy was lurking within their midst, the Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh).

We mentioned before, Teddy Sears will play the recurring role of Jay Garrick, the Silver Age Flash. Viewers caught a glimpse of Jay's iconic winged helmet in the first season finale. In his arrival, Jay warns Barry and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs about an impending danger that he alone cannot stop. Barry and Jay will embark on a mentor/protege relationship as they learn more about the Speed Force.

In an interview with TV Guide, co-executive producers Todd and Aaron Helbing reveal what's in store for Caitlin Snow, "When we see her, she's in the speed force and the speed force has no exact time frame. It's definitely something we've talked about. Everyone's meta-human powers manifest at certain times. Right now, we're exploring Cisco's."

In an exclusive clip from USA Today, from tonight's episode, The Flash (Gustin) and Firestorm (Amell) have to team up in order to take on the returning super villains Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Heatwave (Dominic Purcell).
