Rapper Nicki Minaj explains why she called out singer, Miley Cyrus at the 2015 MTV VMAs during her interview with New York Times Magazine Interview.

The 32-year-old made headline surrounding the August award show when she ranted about not being nominated for "Vide of the Year" for her sexiest video to date, "Anaconda." Initially, Minaj argued that he song was empowering women with curves during her twitter rant and explained "other" women always were acknowledge and rewarded for impacting a culture as she's done in the past.

Somewhere between the rants, Taylor Swift -who was nominated for "Bad Blood" in that particular category- assumed that the tweets were directed to her and fired back at the singer, "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot..."

Eventually, the women would straighten their misunderstands out and performed together for the opening of the award show, but a few days before, 22-year-old, Cyrus decided to slam Nicki for being "selfish" and the world would witness their face-to-face confrontation on LIVE television.

Minaj recounted the incident telling the magazine, ''I saw [Cyrus] just looking at me, with her face screwed up, and I thought, What the!'' she continued, ''The fact that you feel upset about me speaking on something that affects black women makes me feel like you have some big balls. You're in videos with black men, and you're bringing out black women on your stages, but you don't want to know how black women feel about something that's so important? Come on, you can't want the good without the bad. If you want to enjoy our culture and our lifestyle, bond with us, dance with us, have fun with us, twerk with us, rap with us, then you should also want to know what affects us, what is bothering us, what we feel is unfair to us. You shouldn't not want to know that.''

Ball is in your court Miley...
