Joe Biden Running for President? VP Super PAC Releases New Ad

It's an incessant question rolling around the media recently: Is vice president Joe Biden running for president? Well, while he hasn't officially announced a candidacy yet, it seems there is a super PAC attempting to encourage Biden to do so.

In this new ad titled "My Redemption," the Draft Biden super PAC takes words spoken by the hopeful runner back when he delivered a commencement speech at Yale and puts them over various photos taken of Biden throughout his career.

"Things can change in a heartbeat. I know," his voiceover says in the video. "Six weeks after my election, my whole world was altered forever..."

The world-changing event Biden is addressing is the 1972 car accident which took the life of his wife and daughter, something he notes eventually made him a "better parent and a stronger person," according to The Huffington Post.

He claims that by going through that tragedy, and by "focusing" on his sons, he found his redemption.

"My dad's definition of success is when you look at your son and daughter and realize they turned out better than you. And they did."

Biden, as we know, lost his son Beau earlier this year at the age of 46 from brain cancer. Many have speculated that because of this, and perhaps his experiences in the White House thus far, he hasn't the heart or care to run for the 2016 Presidential spot.

Of course, that isn't stopping Draft Biden from trying. The video ends with some small words of encouragement.

"Joe, run."
