Jill Zarin Injured in Multiple Car Crash, Former 'RHONY' Star Unconscious at Scene

It was a scary day for Jill Zarin last week as the former star of The Real Housewives of New York City was involved in a car accident. On Friday October 2, the reality star was part of a multiple car crash pile-up in the afternoon, and was rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries. Zarin was reportedly unconscious at the scene and was then taken to the hospital for evaluation, where she was thankfully not too badly hurt, but had sustained some small injuries from the incident.

According to Radar Online, the starlet was traveling on the FDR in New York City at about 1 PM when the accident occurred.

"Jill was in the car with her publicist on her way to promote her film, Night of the Wild, when the driver slammed on the brakes and crashed into a three-car pile-up," an insider explained to the site.

While it is being reported that the starlet was released from the hospital shortly after the incident, it is being reported by another insider that Zarin's injuries could have been far worse.

According to Daily Mail, Zarin was apparently not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred, and had the car been going faster she could have been seriously hurt.

"The car was going about 30 mph but Jill wasn't wearing a seatbelt," the insider explained to Radar.

Luckily, Jill is all right, and she took to her Twitter account on October 3, a day after the incident, to thank all her fans for their well wishes.

"Thank you ALL SO MUCH for all your kindness," the message read. "I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support. I am OK. Bruised and banged up but OK."

However, Zarin is taking the moral of this story to heart, as she explained to Radar, "the lesson from all of this is always wear a seatbelt."
