WWE 'NXT Takeover: Respect' Results: Did Bayley Beat Sasha Banks in Iron Woman Match?

WWE's developmental brand NXT airs its latest live special, NXT Takeover: Respect on the WWE Network, and the main event pits Bayley against Sasha Banks in a 30-Minute Iron Woman Match for the NXT Women's Championship. But there were plenty of matches prior to that, and we've got the full results, so let's get to it.

The show begins with Finn Balor and Samoa Joe vs. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson in the first semifinal of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. Balor and Joe advance to the finals after Joe reluctantly tags in his partner, whose knee is so damaged throughout the match that he can't even put weight on it. Still, Balor insists that Joe let him back in the ring. Joe drops Wilder with the Muscle Buster and then Balor finishes it off with the Coup de Grace for the victory.

After the match, Joe helps Balor to the back, but things are definitely tense between the partners.

Baron Corbin and Rhyno defeat Chad Gable and Jason Jordan when, after a great sequence in which all four men are just bludgeoning each other, Corbin completely catches Gable off guard with End of Days for the win.

Asuka defeats Dana Brooke in an extremely fast-paced match. Dana gets control for a fleeting moment after some interference by Emma, but Asuka basically beats her to a pulp for the vast majorty of the match and finishes it with a submission move.

As the Japanese female star celebrates, Dana taunts her because apparently the biblical beatdown she just received wasn't enough. Asuka kicks her head off, leaves the ring, and flashes a smile at Emma.

Apollo Crews defeats Tyler Breeze with a huge and vicious powerbomb. Breeze nearly had the win with a small package, but Crews dispatched him shortly thereafter.

Finn Balor and Samoa Joe defeat Baron Corbin and Rhyno in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic when Joe avoids a Gore attempt by Rhyno and hits the Muscle Buster. Balor ends the match with the Coup de Grace.

The Rhodes Family enters the ring and congratulates the two men on winning the tournament. Cody Rhodes takes the microphone and makes an extremely emotional speech about the memory of his father and honoring him. Tonight, we are all a part of the Rhodes family. Dusty's music plays to end the segment. Beautiful stuff here.

Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Lita, and Stephanie McMahon are all in the audience for the main event as the crowd starts a "women's wrestling" chant.

The main event begins, and Sasha Banks gets the first pin when she uses the referee as a screen and pokes Bayley in the eye. She rolls up Bayley for the first fall.

Bayley ties the match shortly thereafter when she catches Sasha off the top rope with a Bayley-to-Belly.

Sasha retakes the lead after the two ladies brawl outside the ring and she tosses the champion into the LED board at the entrance, which breaks it! The referee counts out Bayley, who is motionless by the entrance.

Bayley rolls up Sasha just before the 12-minute mark to even the score.

After numerous near falls for Bayley, we go into a dizzying final sequence. Bayley hits a reverse hurricanrana off the top rope, but Sasha lands on her feet. Bayley doesn't see it and turns right into a Bayley-to-Belly from the challenger for a near fall! Sasha immediately locks in the Bank Statement with about two minutes to go, and Bayley fights it for a full minute. She breaks loose and Sasha goes for another Bank Statement, but Bayley reverses it into a submission of her own, and Sasha gives up with about five seconds left.

Final: Bayley 3, Sasha Banks 2

After the match ends, the entire NXT roster appears on the stage. Triple H presents a sobbing Sasha Banks with a bouquet of flowers, then heads to the ring and does the same for a crying Bayley. He raises her hand in victory, and everyone applauds as the show goes off the air.
