The 2015 MLB playoffs are fast approaching - and things are finally heating-up!

The Houston Astros take the field against the Kansas City Royals in Week 27 of the [post] regular season on Thursday, October 8 at 7:37 p.m. EST at Ewing M. Kauffman Stadium in Missouri. Read on to see where fans can watch and listen to a live stream of the Game 1 ALDS ballgame online - also catch up-to-date feeds and coverage on highlight plays and scores.

So, does Houston or Kansas City hold the edge in ESPN.com's updated break-down of all 30 teams (power rankings), now that both teams are competing for the title of American League champ?

Astros (10): "They're back in the playoffs for the first time since losing the 2005 World Series. They also tied with the Blue Jays for the MLB lead with 230 home runs, Dallas Keuchel won 20 games and maybe the AL Cy Young Award and Carlos Correa's star arrived. It's just the start of a bright future." David Schoenfield, SweetSpot

Houston currently maintains a steady 86-76 winning record and finished 2nd in the American League Western Division (after claiming the Wild Card over the New York Yankees).

Royals (5): "Five straight wins to finish the season helped erase some of the bad feeling from the final month. Yordano Ventura will start Game 1 of the Division Series against the wild-card winner and he posted a 2.38 ERA over his final 11 starts." David Schoenfield, SweetSpot

With that, Kansas City holds an impressive 95-67 winning record and cinched the 1st spot in the American League Central Division.

Tonight's premiere ballgame will be broadcasted live on local sports channel FS1.
