In this week's Season 9 episode 4 of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is forced to face the reality of Leonard (Johnny Galecki) moving out and across the hall to live with his new wife Penny (Kaley Cuoco). As expected, Sheldon has a hard time accepting change in his strategically routine relationship with his dear friend and colleague Leonard. In the episode "The 2003 Approximation," we see Sheldon doing his best to cope on his own after his recent breakup with Amy (Mayim Bialik).

A trip to The Container store and asking Siri for help were at the top of Sheldon's flawed list of ways to move on. After going through other options like talking to his mom or meemaw, Sheldon looked to Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) for help.

Bernadette encourages Sheldon to find a new roommate and suggest he have fellow comic book lover Stuart (Kevin Sussman) move in. Both Stuart and Sheldon are admittedly not interested in living together, but Sheldon does share that he'd be open to have actor Chris Pratt as his next roommate. Sheldon interviewed several candidates, including his ex-girlfriend Amy, who understandably refused to live with him.

While at the comic book store, Stuart tasked Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) with helping him find a band to play a gig at the store and hopefully attract more customers. Raj and Howard decided that the two should start their own band called Footprints On The Moon and tested out music and lyrics of their own.

After an awkward run-in with Penny and Leonard in the hallway, Sheldon decides that he wishes he could relive the year 2003 before he met Leonard and became what he calls "too emotional." Penny and Leonard were shocked to later see Sheldon's apartment completely reorganized to the way it was pre-Leonard.

Feeling sorry for Sheldon, the new married couple vow to take turns sleeping between Sheldon and Penny's apartment. Sheldon was open to the new arrangement and expressed the need for a new roommate agreement.

After a not-so-impressive rehearsal performance for Emily (Laura Spencer), Footprints On The Moon (Raj and Howard) closed the episode with a performance of their song "Thor and Dr. Jones" at the comic book store for the gang. Stuart said he'd prefer a song that he could dance to and immediately ended the duo's dreams of a music career.
