Aerosmith Invited For The Songwriter's Hall of Fame, To Be Inducted

Legendary rock band Aerosmith members, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry had the rare honor of being invited to the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.

The band is famous for being the one of "America's greatest rock and roll band" that was formed in the 1970s and had its share of success on the musical scene.

Songs from the band have been topping the charts for nearly five decades. Some of their biggest hits include, "Walk this Way," "Dude Looks Like a Lady," "Sweet Emotion," "Dream On," "Livin On The Edge" and "Don't Want To Miss a Thing." "Don't Want To Miss a Thing" was used in the Hollywood movie "Armageddon."

The induction for Tyler and Perry into Hall of Fame will be held June 13 in New York City, reported EntertainmentWise.

The Songwriter's Hall of Fame was founded in 1969 and is the arm of National Academy of Popular Music. The First band that was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame was English rock band Queen in 2003.

Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

Other bands that are also part of the list include Foreigner's Mick Jones and Lou Gramm, Tina Turner and The Eagles.
