In the Season 2 episode of iZombie, "Zombie Bro," viewers witnessed plot twists and highlights that have set up the rest of the season's storyline. Without giving too much of a spoiler, fans were introduced to new zombie, Angus DeBeers (Robert Knepper), who is zombie-villain Blaine DeBeers' (David Anders) father, and also watched Liv (Rose McIver) chase down a frat-brother murderer.  Also, in an early screening of Tuesday's episode, Executive Producer Rob Thomas shared more of what we can expect from Major this season.

Blaine's admitted daddy issues, which are likely the cause of his sociopath behavior, stem from his inability to meet his father's high expectations. His intense confrontation with his father left their relationship open for hopefully more encounters this season.

This week's victim, who was killed by an ice pick at a frat party, makes Liv become the ultimate "bro" after ingesting his brains to solve the murder. She burps, kicks ass at beer pong and writes "fart" on a sleeping friend's forehead.

While Liv is busy working on the case, her two cohorts, Major (Robert Buckley) and Ravi (Rahul Kohli), are facing their own challenges. In this week's episode, Ravi is laser-focused on creating another batch of his zombie cure. Major is enlisted to monitor Ravi's behavior as he takes Utopium to try to fully understand the drug as he recreates the zombie cure. Major, who is coming face-to-face with his moral dilemma of becoming a zombie hunter, decides to try out the drug for himself. In an attempt to take off the edge of guilt, Major starts self-medicating with Utopium, which makes him numb to any advances or concerns coming from Liv.

"He will hit rock bottom," Executive Producer Rob Thomas said with the early screening. "That's the journey that he's going on. He's doing this horrible thing and can't quite stand himself. We have a scene that I adore in which he officially hits rock bottom. It's Major out on the streets trying to score Utopium. ... Major knows he's made it all the way down at that point, but it's a few episodes away."

Major also won't be able to keep his new zombie hunter status a secret much longer. In an upcoming episode, Ravi will learn of his secret.

"It's pretty hard to hide," Thomas added. "Ravi picks up on it pretty soon. Very quickly, I'd say. Possibly if you watch one more episode, Ravi will pick up on it."

Thomas also hinted that Liv's discovery of Major's dark secret will lead to a big blowout that will make for an intense scene.

iZombie airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
