Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth On the Rocks? 'Hunger Games' Heartthrob Parties with January Jones, Starlet Cozies Up with Cheyne Thomas?

Just when a young Hollywood couple seems perfectly happy and content in their relationship, shady gossip reports pop up insisting that everything isn't so wonderful in paradise. According to Hollywood Life, things currently aren't going so well between pop star Miley Cyrus and her fiancé Liam Hemsworth - especially after the 23-year-old "Hunger Games" heartthrob was recently spotted "partying and flirting" with stunning actress/model January Jones in L.A. That same night, 20-year-old Cyrus allegedly spent some "quality time" with her assistant Cheyne Thomas in the recording studio. So are Cyrus and Hemsworth truly on the brink of separation, or is this just another ridiculous, sensationalized rumor to help draw-in curious readers?

According to a recent Hollywood Life report, Hemsworth (sporting a snazzy suit and tie) was spotted leaving L.A.'s Chateau Marmont on Saturday evening (Feb. 23). Cyrus was nowhere in sight, but Hemsworth apparently looked to be having some fun with another pretty blonde... January Jones. Hemsworth and the 35-year-old "Mad Men" starlet supposedly left the hotel at the same time late Saturday evening, and hopped into the backseat of a waiting car together. Meanwhile, Cyrus spent the night at an L.A. recording studio with her assistant, Cheyne Thomas. As Hollywood Life points out, "Miley and Cheyne have been close for years and sort of have a reputation for being a little too touchy since Miley's engagement."

Such break up rumors were fueled when Cyrus showed up to Elton John's AIDS Foundation Academy Awards party on Sunday evening... without her future hubby. Cyrus seemed to have a blast, partying with the likes of Kelly Osbourne in a stunning white dress, but still... where's Liam?

Hollywood Life tends to throw such gossip totally out of proportion... maybe both stars are just really busy with their own seperate careers right now. They definitely seem comfortable enough in their relationship to not have to be around one another 24/7. But given Cyrus and Hemsworth's behavior this weekend, some fans may begin to wonder if the couple's wedding plans are still definitely in-motion...
