Rock band Journey's guitarist Neal Schon won a court case against his ex-wife whose request for more child support was rejected by the court.

Schon's ex-wife, Amber wanted Schon to shell out more money for child support. He presently gives her $3,000 per month in child support. But she wanted it to be upped to $5,758.90 per month, TMZ reported.

Schon has two minor kids with Amber- Aja and Sophia. The couple divorced in 2007.

A Minnesota family court while rejecting her proposal ruled that the increase in money was "intended primarily to upgrade her own standard of living."

TMZ reported on the annual expenses of Amber according to the documents - $7,200 for clothing, $5,760 for a storage locker, $9,600 for birthday parties and one of the most unusual ones - $2,400 on postage.

The judge told Amber to complete her teaching degree and to start earning. The judge also told her that it was not Neal's mistake that she was not able to get "any kind of employment."

"My concern is with my children and I'm infuriated they are being exploited and used to extort money from me," Schon told TMZ.
