Moniece Slaughter Slams Attention on Lamar Odom, Fights With Fans on Instagram

Moniece Slaughter pissed some people off when she called out celebrity worshipers and compared Lamar Odom's brothel story to a soldier who took a grenade to save lives. The Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star took major shots from fans after she slammed the attention Odom's story was getting and found herself in the middle of an Instagram drama. Through it all though, Slaughter is standing by her post and fighting with the fan commenters who attacked her post.

Slaughter reposted the Instagram snapshot of the soldier side, by side with the former NBA star, and estranged husband, of Khloe Kardashian, the photo read on the soldier's side, "Took a grenade to save lives, no press during recovery." Whereas Odom’s photo said, “Took drugs at a whore house to get high, press updates every hour of his recovery."

Fed up with some of the backlash she had received following posting the comparison up above, Slaughter snapped back and pointed out that they were defending the wrong thing. She wrote, "I'm not saying Lamar's life doesn't matter. Since you hypersensitive f*cks took my 1st comment so personally let me rephrase it for you. I have 2 brothers, one is an addict, I have a grandpa I don't know because he's an addict, I have a great grandma I didn't get to meet because she died from addiction! I didn't devalue Lamar's life, discredit his struggle, or bash him fo his mistakes," the reality star explained. Slaughter added, "I bashed society's way of thinking. For if we didn't glorify one more than the other, media portrayal and coverage wouldn't be what it is."

MStars News wants to know what you think, was Slaughter speaking truth about the media covering a celebrity too much verses a soldier's heroic story, and about how people follow celebrities with such devotion?

Last time we checked in on Odom, he was doing better after coming out of his coma. The former Los Angeles Lakers star was found last week unresponsive at Dennis Hof's Love Ranch brothel in Nevada after partying for several days. Odom was fighting for his life, but has started to breathe on his own.

His estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, and the rest of her family has been by Odom's side since he was taken to a Las Vegas hospital. When he finally opened his eyes, Odom uttered the words: "Hey, baby" to Kardashian. The reality star flew Odom's ex, and the mother of his kids, Liza Morales, and Odom's dad, Joe Odom, along his two kids, Destiny, and Lamar Jr. out to Vegas to be with their father.

Hopefully the troubled 35-year-old will make a full recovery and get the help he needs.
