Skier Lindsey Vonn vows to be ready for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. Vonn broke her right leg and tore her ACL and MCL Feb. 5 at the Alpine skiing world championships. Oh, and she is rumored to be dating Tiger Woods.

The winter Olympics will be taking place next year, but Vonn told the "Today" show she will be ready.

"I have no doubt I will be ready for Sochi," Vonn said Monday. "Honestly, in a worst-case scenario, if I trained a week before the Games, I'd be fine."

Vonn explained to reporters how she felt when the accident occurred.

"Basically what happened was I came into that jump going a little bit faster, or I don't know if I just hit the jump wrong, but I feel like I flew a lot further than the other girls,'' Vonn said. "When I landed, the snow was just different. The snow was soft. It was not slick, basically, and my right ski just stopped and my knee buckled. I feel that loose snow was 100% the reason why I crashed."

Vonn went on to tell reporters that she feared the worst.

"I initially thought it was going to be worse. There was just so much pain that I couldn't quite tell where exactly it was coming from."

Vonn has won four Wold Cup Championships and a gold medal at the 2010 Olympics. The world class skier criticized the race jury for letting the Alpine competition continue despite worsening conditions. She told journalists in a teleconference her frustrations with the decision to keep the race going.

"I don't think the jury made the right call," Vonn said. "The fog came in and delayed the start of the race. When I was at the start, I was ready to go, but I had no idea what the course conditions were. I inspected the course at 8 a.m. and I ran the course at about 3:15."

When her rumored relationship with Tiger Woods came up, Vonn avoided the question.

"I'm only two weeks out from the worst injury I've had in my career. At this point, I'm just not going to talk about my personal life.''

An interesting response from Vonn. Wouldn't you just deny the rumor if it wasn't true? Who knows, maybe Woods will be in attendance next year when Vonn returns to the slopes to cheer her on.
