Orion Music and More Festival 2013: Line Up To Have Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, Rise Against, Metallica Announced

Rock band Metallica have announced that a new life-up for their annual Orion Music + More festival for this year. The new line-up unveiled by the band involves rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, alternative metal band Deftones, punk rock band Rise Against and many more.

The music festival was created by Metallica and this is the second such festival being held. The festival will be held at Detroit, June 8-9.

The festival will have five different stages and will be featuring more than 30 bands. Other bands that will be playing at the festival are - Tomahawk, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Bassnectar, Gogol Bordello,Silversun Pickups, the Bronx, All Shall Perish and Dropkick Murphys, Detroit natives Battlecross and Death.

The festival will also have other attractions apart from music like - James Hetfield's Custom Car & Motorcycle Show, Kirk Hammett's Crypt, Lars Ulrich's Hit the Lights Film Tent and Robert Trujillo's Vans Vert Ramp along with the Metallica Museum.

"Last year's Orion Music + More Festival was hands down the highlight of the Metallica calendar. A great time was had by all, especially the band members," said drummer Lars Ulrich in a press statement.

"The fact that it also resonated with enough of our fans and friends that it warrants another go-around in '13 is beyond exciting. I can think of no better place than the Motor City, with its rich and diverse history of music, for the second ride on our Orion festival train. Bring it the f**k on!" he continued.
