DeSean Jackson's LA Home Invaded with Guns Before Girlfriend Kayla Phillips Gives Birth!

Washington Redskins' DeSean Jackson is probably thanking his lucky stars that he wasn't on the West Coast in Los Angeles when his home was robbed by intruders who had guns just a few weeks before his girlfriend, Kayla Phillips, is expected to give birth to their first child together.

According to TMZ, Jackson's L.A. home that's located in Tarzana, California, was apparently a violent scene after one person inside of the house was hit with the handle of a gun after at least 5 people barged in the NFL star's home with weapons.

Despite Jackson being away in Virgina with his NFL team, at least 6 people were inside of his house when the armed intruders came in. After fighting the the trespassers away, the person that was pistol-whipped suffered minor injuries.

Cops and investigators believe that the people that decided to bust into Jackson's home have been there prior to this incident. Sources close to the drama revealed that the intruders seem to know where the security cameras are located. Law enforcement sources also claimed that cops have some leads on possible suspects and believe the invasion was gang related.

An inside source claimed that Jackson wasn't the target, but someone who was staying inside of his home was. Jackson has been known for hanging around trouble but denies that he's a gang member. The 28-year-old wide receiver does have some friends that are in gangs.

After learning about the invasion, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said "[DeSean will] get to the bottom of it, as will the police, and we'll go from there." The football star's publicist Denise White said in a statement: "DeSean is getting ready to be a father for the first time. He's currently in Virginia practicing with the team." She added, "He had no knowledge of the incident until a phone call last evening. It's a legal matter. We're waiting for police to let us know more about the incident."

As MStars News previously reported, Kayla's due date in Nov. 4, she and DeSean are expecting a boy. The model has been keeping her followers updated with her growing baby bump as she continues to countdown to labor and delivery. In the snapshot below, Jackson's girlfriend wrote: "Morning big boy! See you in 4 weeks."

We hope that the invasion doesn't distract the family from welcoming their new bundle of joy, and pray that they are safe if the couple decides to return to Los Angeles after football season.
