Bollywood Star Priyanka Chopra Signs With WME After ‘Quantico’

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is among the TV season's hottest new stars. After getting success with Quantico, the star has signed with the American talent agency WME.

Priyanka Chopra's longtime manager, Anjula Acharia-Bath, introduced the star with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in 2012 and now after almost three years, the previous Miss World has signed with William Morris Endeavor (WME).

The Bollywood megastar has made her long-awaited stateside television debut as she lead in ABC's FBI drama, Quantico, which already has been picked up for a full season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, before signing up for playing the role of Alex Parrish in Quantico, the star read 26 scripts under her ABC Studios talent deal.

Chopra has 9.6 million Twitter followers and has over 15 million on Facebook. With this huge fan following, she has become an international star. Priyanka has made more than 45 movies in Bollywood and now with WME, she may soon be appear in some Hollywood feature films as well. Through her film career, she has become one of Bollywood's highest-paid actresses and one of the most popular and high-profile celebrities in India. According to DNA, ABC has offered $3.8 million to her for her role in Quantico.

Priyanka also became the first Guess Girl of Indian descent in 2013. Her single, "In My City," was also chosen as the NFL Network's 2013 Thursday Night Football.

The Quantico star will be seen next in Bollywood's upcoming period drama, Bajirao Mastani. Directed by Indian filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali who earlier directed Devdas, the upcoming film also stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.

According to Variety, Quantico is the second fresh fall series to land a full-season order by ABC. The thriller drama is averaging about 6.4 million viewers overall. The show follows the story of Alex Parrish, an FBI recruit who is accused of causing a terrorist attack on Grand Central in America. The next episode of Quantico will premiere on ABC on Oct. 25.
