Designer Olivier Rousteing Celebrates a Third Decade With Kylie Jenner and Tyga

Birthday boy and fashion designer, Olivier Rousteing, celebrated the anniversary of his third decade at a private resident in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles with Kylie Jenner, Tyga and several other A-list friends. The Balmain muse and her rapper boyfriend were front and center to help celebrate Olivier's 30 years with the rest of reality TV's most famous family, according to Hello. Sister, Khloe was noticeably absent due to husband, Lamar Odom's two emergency surgeries on Thursday October 22.

To his credit, the young creative director started a new generation-type campaign and made Rihanna his first muse. Today, he has added the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Jada, Jaden and Willow Smith, Zoë Kravitz, Mary J. Blige and others to his portfolio of monied consumers and has created a ready to wear line for H&M slated for release this November.

The fresh-faced designer has been the creative director of Balmain since 2011, prior to working under former boss, Christophe Decarnin, the one credited with instigating the signature style of embroidery and embellishments. Rousteing, an adoptee and native of Bordeaux, France, moved to Italy at 18 and worked under Roberto Cavalli. After returning to Paris, the lucky understudy finally got the break of a lifetime when Decarnin turned over the reigns to his former assistant after a 2011 fall/winter collection breakdown, according to Independent.

Placing his stamp on the Balmain line, the Parisian couturier stated, "Of course I am looking at the archive and I am always looking at the story of the house. I do not want to go too far away from their aesthetic," says Rousteing. "I do think my aesthetic is exactly what Pierre Balmain would do. When he invented the Jolie Madame or when he dressed jet-set women. I think today, I am doing the same thing in my own way. Of course, I love the archives. But now I think it is enough to look at the past; I start to think I need to mature and see different things. Paris is not so inspiring any more, I think. That is why you need to open your mind and go away from the past."

Obviously, young Hollywood is an inspiration to the Balmain head, as he has crossed the Atlantic to take selfless célphies with the KUWTK crew, whilst JLo flicks it up with Kylie and on-again, off-again boyfriend, Jasper Smart. Even the Smith posse struck a pose. He made sure to instagram plenty of photos with his besties, especially those smart enough to be adorned in his latest creations.
