Fox continues Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham. In Episode 6, are detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and his love Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) in  danger of learning the meaning behind Theo Galavan (James Frain)'s By Fire?

With a man hanging in the background, Butch (Drew Powell) recounts how Penguin chopped off his hand.  He then asks Galavan for a shot, which Tigress (Jessica Lucas) and Barbara (Erin Richards) agree with. Tigress then cuts off the noose as the Congressman agrees to vote for Theo.

Jim and the strike force take down a snitch, who doesn't know about a female fire bug. The officers aren't too happy seeing Jim using brutality to get answers. Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) tries to calm down, Bridget (Michelle Veintimilla), who is on the run from the cops. Selina has an idea for a crime to help them score money.

At an underground human auction club, Selina starts blasting away and Bridget sprays fire around. The men hand over their money just as Bridget lights it up with fire. The two make a run for it as Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis)  yells at Jim for being a suspect. Barnes then shows Jim security cam footage, which makes him spot Selina.

Alfred (Sean Pertwee) is teaching Bruce (David Mazouz) how to box and throw punches. He punches Bruce when he's distracted by Silver St. Cloud (Natalie Alyn Lind). Edward overhears Kringle (Chelsea Spack) talking about him to Leslie. She thinks he's hiding something from her. Bullock finds Selina's whereabouts through a young Poison Ivy.

Just as Selina and Bridget say their goodbyes, the Pike brothers show up and kidnap Bridget. At her hideout, Jim and Selina end up painting their guns at each other. During their standoff, Jim wants to help Bridget if she's being forced. Bridget will be shot on sight if Jim doesn't get to her first.

With Bridget hostage, the Pike brothers torture her before promising to kill her. Butch returns to Penguin but he has no news about his mother. Bridget puts on her firefly outfit on and burns down her brothers alive. Butch then finds the camera to Penguin's mother cage but Theo is on to him.

Tigress ends up choking Butch with her while before he passes out. Jim confronts Barnes about protecting Bridget, but the captain wants Bridget taken down. Selina then finds Bridget at her hiding place. Bridget is now after the perverts and bullies but Selina thinks she's going get herself killed. Selina hugs her before saying goodbye.

Tigress shows up late to dinner with Theo, Bruce, and Silve. She notices how Bruce and Silver are attracted to each other. During their dinner date, Edward hoes with Kringle to his bedroom. Selina calls Jim and tells him here Bridget is going.

The police arrive as Bridget burns the club down. Jim holds his hands up as he tries to talk to Bridget. With her gas tank leaking, Bridget blows up a police car and herself. They all helplessly watch as she's burnt to a crisp.

Theo reveals to Bruce that if he's Mayor, he will solve his parents' murder. Butch shows up at Penguin's and tells him where his mother is being kept. Selina has her gun pointed at Leslie when Jim tells her the bad news. Selina is done talking to Jim and leaves crying.

After sex, Edward reveals to Kringle that he killed her ex. During their argument, Edward ends up choking Kringle and squeezing the life out of her. As Selina cries, Penguin gets his troops ready.

Still alive, Bridget is sent to an underground lab underneath Wayne enterprises where they make monsters.
