It looks like CNN anchor Don Lemon and Sunny Hostin weren't seeing eye-to-eye on a recent discussion. MStars News has learned that the two had a dispute over Columbia, South Carolina's Spring Valley High School assault. When Lemon uttered that he needed to "know more" why Deputy Ben Fields decided to become some violent with the female student, chaos erupted all over the network.

The drama between Sunny and Don started after Wolf Blitzer opened the floor for discussion on the hit news series, The Situation Room. Like CNN analyst Tom Fuentes, Lemon felt a bit hesitant to put all the blame on the officer after the female student was tossed to the ground in her desk and dragged.

"It does look disturbing," Lemon said as the video played over and over again. "The part that is most disturbing to me is seeing her thrown around. As far as the desk going over, I don't know if the desk fell over because she didn't want to get up or if he pushed it over. I don't know. I think there's context to everything. I would like to see what happens before and I would like to see what happened afterwards... It does look horrible. It does look like there's no excuse for what he's doing to her, but again, we don't know... This only show a small slice in time of what happened. I'd like to know more before passing judgment."

Lemon's comments obviously hit the wrong nerve with legal analyst Sunny Hostin. She went off in anger and said to the rest of the panel, "Are you guys kidding me?" Lemon replied back, "No, we're not kidding – we don't know what happened," he continued, "You weren't sitting in the room, Sunny..."

Hostin clapped back and replied, "I don't need to know more!" The drama kept going as Lemon told Hostin: "You do need to know more! As a prosecutor, you should want to know more." She yelled back, "This is a young girl!" claiming that the officer's force was too much.

The bickering set Twitter on fire with tweets like the ones seen below.

Even presidential hopeful, Hillary Clinton, joined in with the hash-tagged subject. She tweeted on her account: "There is no excuse for violence inside a school. The #AssaultAtSpringValleyHigh is unacceptable—schools should be safe places."

Following the shocking video, we have now learned that Fields is currently being investigated by the feds.

"The Columbia FBI Field Office, the Civil Rights Division, and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of South Carolina have opened a civil rights investigation into the circumstances surrounding the arrest of a student at Spring Valley High School," FBI Special Agent in charge David Thomas revealed. "The FBI will collect all available facts and evidence in order to determine whether a federal law was violated. As this is an ongoing investigation, per Department of Justice policy we are unable to comment further at this time."

MStars News wants to know how you feel on this video? Was the officer too aggressive when disciplining the student, or did he have a right to pull her out of her desk the way he did, even if we don't know the entire ordeal?
