Miley Cyrus Heartbreak: Liam Hemsworth 'Real Love' Vindication, Back Together Soon?

Miley Cyrus' relationship with Liam Hemsworth eventually fizzled, but the "Hunger Games" heartthrob definitely doesn't regret anything. And that comes as a huge relief to the "Wrecking Ball" songstress!

In an upcoming interview with Men's Fitness magazine, 25-year-old Hemsworth bascially gushes over his ex-fiancee:

"You fall in love with who you fall in love with," he said. "You can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage. I mean, look - we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn't just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be. She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."

And that's exactly what 22-year-old Cyrus had to hear from her former lover:

"Hearing him defend her and say he still cares about her and loves her is huge, Miley could not be happier," and alleged insider tells the popular gossip webloid HollywoodLife.com. "For a long time she was angry at him and she felt like he abandoned her so it's that much more meaningful that he's being so public about it, she feels vindicated."

How sweet! Hemsworth ultimately called off their engagement back in 2013, but is a romantic reunion still possible? Well...

"Who knows, crazier things have happened," the snitch continues. "But that's not what's happening right now, they're strictly friends at this point."

Both are now single, so maybe they're mean to be together in the end? Cyrus last dated Patrick Schwarzenegger, but couldn't get Hemsworth off of her mind.
