Teresa Giudice Season 7 'RHONJ' Return In Jeopardy After Check In Rating Fail

While fans have been anxiously waiting for Teresa Giudice's return to the small screen, it seems like her fan base might have dwindled since she has spent the past year in prison. Without the main star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Bravo decided to put the show on hiatus for over a year, while Giudice served out her sentence in a Danbury, Connecticut prison, However, since being off the air for such an extended period of time, it seems that RHONJ isn't the ratings winner that it used to be. With Bravo's three-part special, Teresa Checks In underperforming, could Giudice's season 7 contract be up in the air?

According to Radar Online, the series wasn't as successful as the network had hoped, even getting beat out by other underperforming shows like Guy's Grocery Games. It scored 1.23 million, 1.28 million, and 1.42 million viewers in the three weeks that it aired, but while the numbers might seem impressive to some, in comparison to the previous season of RHONJ, all three episodes were lower than ever episode of the season except for the second part of the reunion special.

"Bravo producers are worried that the show had such low ratings," an insider explained to the news site. "This was the first time anyone heard from Teresa from behind bars and they expected fans to tune in to see how she was. But they realized that maybe she doesn't have that many fans anymore."

Yet, it might not just be GIudice who's future is on the line with the show. In fact, Radar is reporting that the whole cast has yet to receive their contracts for season 7, and because of this, their jobs are also unclear.

"The contracts for the upcoming season aren't out yet, " a source close to production explained. "And with the low rating they aren't moving too quickly."

"If people don't like Teresa anymore and advertisers are turned off, then that will affect the show in a big way," the source continued.
