'Bones' Season 11 Ep 5 Recap: David Boreanaz Booth/Brennan "Resurrection In The Remains"

Season 11 of Bones continues its final season on Fox. In tonight's Episode 5, as the Jeffersonian gets a visit from Sleepy Hollow, are Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) ready to face "The Resurrection in the Remains?"

A group of college kids are setting up their Halloween party  with booze As one of them falls through the floorboards, they scream after uncovering a corpse. 

Booth heads back home with enough candy to feed the kids. Brennan pranks Booth with fake brains before they return to work.  At the crime scene, Camille (Tamara Taylor) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) are investigating the dead body, discovering an iron coffin. The three open up the coffin and find an 18th Century Red Coat with a missing head. 

The mystery begins as Booth wants to find how how the two corpse are connected to each other. Hodgins is looking at the monitor, noticing the corpse was decapitated. With Angela (Michaela Conlin) annulling the facial recognition, she realizes the hair color is different and the victim had piercings. 

Booth and James Aubrey (John Boyd) are investigating the nurses' schoolmates. Interrogating their suspect, Sarah's boyfriend realized she was missing for a few days. Hodgins has info on their high-ranking British officer, but why was she left at the church. Booth and Aubrey discover a scared book in Sarah's locker. 

Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) show up as Brennan analyzes the pentagram symbol. The bones are connected to their murder in Sleepy Hollow. Aubrey is suspicious of their visitors as Ichabod is amazed with the technology. Crane and Brennan analyze the the corpse, getting a match.

Finding the real identity, Crane realizes the body belongs to a cruel General. Booth and Abbie investigate Sarah's apartment room, finding a saw in her closet. Impressed by Hodgins, Crane reads the book of spells and realizes he needs more resources from the Jeffersonian. Camille thinks Sarah "died before she died;" hinting at zombies. 

Aubrey and Booth realize Sarah was partying, had an accident, and may have been cheating on her boyfriend. As Camille deduces Sarah was beaten with a skull, Abbie and Booth have a somber talk about Sheriff Corbin, their mentor. Aubrey investigates the next suspect,

Sarah's colleague reveals they were desperate to find out about the afterlife. He resuscitated Sarah, who became obsessed with death. After Aubrey charges him with attempted murder, Hodgins and Camille find blood on the medical lab's ceiling. 

Brennan and Crane investigate Sarah's history, argue about afterlife while reading Washington's letter. Brennan and her team have to hurry before the remains are taken back to Sleepy Hollow. Looking through the trash, Camille and Hodgins find the the murder weapon; the skull.

As Aubrey and Booth have a lead, Angela finds a match between Washington's signature and Ichabod's signature. Aubrey learns Sarah blackmailed to get her drugs. Brennan confronts Crane about the signatures. He lies about his ancestry  until Brennan is pleased. he then helps her make an deduction; a false tooth.

Abbie and Booth interrogate the killer; the boyfriend saw nothing in the afterlife. he murdered his girlfriend for taking away his faith. 

Finally getting along, Crane, Abbie, Booth, and Brennan are having drinks. Booth gets back at Brennan with his prank.
