Former NFL player Jerry Rice finally talked about his daughter Jaqui's R&B career, and if reports are to be believed then the former football player is very nervous when it comes to his daughter's career.

Rice's daughter is getting quite famous on YouTube by her recent song "Beautiful," but to see his daughter performing makes him very a bit anxious. The 53-years-old, who is considered the greatest wide receiver in NFL history to date, becomes very nervous when his daughter performs on stage or sings any song in front of any audience.

In an interview with TMZ, Rice said that whenever Jaqui sings he usually calms himself down and sits quietly. Rice also said that he has always supported his daughter's career 100 percent but it is still tough for him to watch her sing songs on some very beautiful tunes.

"I commend her. It's a tough business," he said, "but this is really what she wants to do. When she performs I'm so proud, but I'm so nervous."

On the other hand, 28-year-old Jaqui, who considers Cindy Morgan, Celine Dion, Rachael Lampa and Jaci Velasquez as her inspirations, is very confident about her future. According to TMZ, the R&B singer from Durban has locked down some legendary names in the music industry to guide her.

"I'm currently back in the studio working with Andre Harris ... who's worked with so many big names like Justin Beiber, Chris Brown and Ciara," she said.

It's quiet obvious for a father to get nervous about their child when it comes to choosing a different line of career but Rice, being a father of three kids will soon adjust with his daughter's choice of work. If she is going to work with managers who have previously represented Chris Brown and Justin Beiber, then it looks like she is on the right track.
