French Montana Shooting Incident: Speaks Out About The Drive-By Says He ‘Was Not Involved’ And He ‘Had a Peaceful Concert’

Rapper French Montana has spoken out about the drive-by shooting incident that took place March 1.

French Montana has opened up about the incident that took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He clarified through Twitter that he "was not involved" in the shooting incident that claimed the life of a fan. He also prayed for the victims affected by the shoot-out. The shooting took place after the rapper finished his performance at the Theatre of the Living Arts. Investigators have said that French Montana or his troupe was not the target of the attackers.

"My bus was located in the vicinity of the incident that took plac last night in Philadelphia. I had a peaceful concert and was not involved," Tweeted Montana."My deepest thoughts and sympathies go out to the familiesof the victims, as well as all of those who were affected," he added.

Montana was taken to the police station for questioning and was released March 2 morning. He also posted a picture of the police station from the inside. He was not charged for the incident, HipHopDX reported.  

"A large crowd of fans, as well as some of the entourage, were loitering and just hanging out," Scott Small, Philadelphia police Chief Inspector told reporters, Billboard reported.

Montana will be dropping his debut studio album "Excuse My French," May 21, 2013. The album will have guest appearances from Rick Ross, Diddy, Lil Wayne, Snoop Lion, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Wale, M.I.A., Lana Del Rey, Nicki Minaj and The Weeknd among others.
