Looks like August Alsina has a lot of family drama going on! MStars News has learned that the singer's mother, Sheila Alsina, isn't pleased with her son's interview and is speaking out after hearing The Breakfast Club chat on Thursday, November 5.  She says that he lied during the show.

When the singer claimed that he had no family, Ms. Sheila posted a long Instagram statement that read:

"I so sadden by the lies or the road August chose to promote the album. It's always three sides to the story. How could you call an check on someone that stop talking to you since April. August didn't call me from Mother's Day, birthday in July passed out rush to the hospital in September didn't hear from him. It's so sad that this boy is crying out for help & his whole team missing it. I reached out to him on several occasions. I hear the cry in his voice from the way he talk in all the interviews. August need to be real I have always been there for him and I am still today in-spite of what he is saying."

The drama all started when August claimed that he was teaching himself everything, because he didn’t have parents to guide him. August was allegedly kicked out of his mother’s home years before his career started. He said a lot of his music came from his struggles. “A lot of people are just living a lie. We want to make it look good to the world but the reality is I’m f*cked up in the head,” he admitted.

August continued, “I’m teaching myself everything. I know it’s other people out here like that. Like it’s other people who ain’t got no parents to teach them whatever it is.” August said that people like to hide things and sweep it under a rug, which is what influenced his new album, This Thing Called Life.

August said that “life has taken me places. I came from absolutely sh*t to having a whole lot of everything.”

He claimed that he helps people, including a woman who was like a mother figure to him. However, if you think it’s all good for August think again. He revealed that the more money you have the more problems you have as well.

The singer was referring to his recent beef with his cousin, who claimed that he was gay, and was the reason for his brother’s death. The singer's brother died after he was shot back in 2010. August also admitted that his late brother had a drug problem and he witnessed him do "coke."

“Everybody out here is just mad. Everybody has some kind of hate, and I can’t explain it,” August claimed about the entire family drama.

August said that he doesn’t trust his own family because he believes if “You could say anything like that to me, you would kill me. If you had the opportunity to, you’d kill me because you don’t want to see me living my life. You don’t want to see me happy."

“The people that’s supposed to be here for you and here to help you, and to nurture you…I don’t have that aspect in my life. It’s rough when your own people can talk to you like that.”

“All that sh*t about exposing me, it’s nothing that you can tell the world about me, because everybody already know. I live my truth so you can’t use that against me.” As for the gay rumors, August said, "That’s bogus and for the birds.”

“I’m flattered, people are just dumb. That’s the stupidest sh*t I’ve ever heard,” the singer also stated about his cousin’s rant claiming his brother died from his upcoming fame. August claimed that he doesn’t have any family.

Touching on his mom, August said that his mother was a “queen” because she gave him life and she raised him. “We all have family issues." He added, "All of this madness came from the song, 'Cry'."

August claimed that he thought about suicide when he was sick and depressed. The singer claimed that his mother didn't check up on him when he was ill in the hospital, and diagnosed with a vision illness that is making him blind. "I remember being overly depressed. I don't have a mother to talk to, my mom didn't even check on me," he revealed.

It's pretty sad that August and his family aren't getting along. Do you believe that there are more issues and problems when money becomes greatly increased in someone's life?

August isn't the only music artist that has spoken out about issues with family and suicidal thoughts. Depression seems to be an uphill battle for others including, Chris Brown, and Soulja Boy. Soulja recently revealed that he was battling with that demon. It seems that so many talented artist out there in the music industry battle a lot behind the glitz and glamour. Maybe that's why their music is so great, and beautifully written.
