'Bates Motel' Season 4 Spoilers: Will Nestor Carbonell/Alex Romero Get Norma's "Payoff?"

Based on the Alfred Hitchcock suspense thriller, Psycho, the Season 3 finale of Bates Motel aired on A&E. In the upcoming Season 4 , will Sheriff Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell) find his "payoff" in his relationship with Norma Bates (Vera Farminga)?

As we perviously mentioned, during the season finale, Norman was just about to leave town with Bradley (Nicola Peltz), until "Mother" wanted to speak with her. "Norma" came out, chased after Bradley, and bashed her head against he rocks. Norman snaps out of it, thinking it was his mother who killed Bradley. Meanwhile, Dylan (Max Thieriot) illegally earned the money for Emma (Olivia Cooke)'s much-needed lung transplant. They shared a kiss before Emma headed off to her surgery.

We also mentioned, Bates Motel will be coming back with Season 4 and Season 5. Both 10-episode seasons, 20 in total, will air in 2016. Co-creator Kerry Ehrin teases this might be the series end, "From the end of the first season, Carlton and I both had the exact same instinct of five seasons. Emotionally, yes, a very specific one. I will say it's beautiful."

In an interview with Comic Book, at Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta, the Lost actor is sitting behind the camera once again. The Tick actor had directed an episode before in season three, which earned favorable praise from critics. Carbonyl is already prepping for the eighth episode of the fourth season.

The Dark Knight Rises actor adds, ""Like many of the shows I get to do, it's pretty tight-lipped. All I can say, is it'll have to be big. There's a lot of payoff. There's been a lot of set up until now, so there will be payoff. We saw Norma's descent already clearly happening especially through the second half of last season so we'll see more of that to come, no doubt about it. For my part, whether anything is gonna happen with Norma, she's a frustrating woman, that's all I've got to say. She's a tough one. She's a tough nut to crack so we'll see what happens there."

Season 4 of Bates Motel will begin production later this year.
