Electronic Music Duo Daft Punk Tease Fans For 15 Seconds With New Music During ‘Saturday Night Live’ [VIDEO]

French Electronic music duo, Daft Punk, teased their fans with new titillating music during the "Saturday Night Live" show, March 2.

Fans of the group have been waiting to listen to some new music from the duo. Daft Punk's fourth album has been in the works.

The electronic music duo teased fans with new music that lasted for 15 seconds during the "Saturday Night Live" show. Daft Punk showed a mysterious advert during the broadcast. "The brief trailer featured a glittering Daft Punk logo morphing into the two-part helmet image that has lately been occupying the band's homepage, all set to a disco groove," Rolling Stone reported.

The prediction is that the track that was played was from Chic's Nile Rodgers. Rodgers had revealed last year that he was working with the duo. Rodgers even retweeted when fans suggested that it was his guitar riffs, Guardian reported.

The French duo, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo's last album was "Human After All," in 2005. The group scored music for the 2010 movie "Tron: Legacy."

They have won Grammy Awards for Best Dance Recording in 2009 for "Harder Better Faster Stronger (Alive 2007)" and Best Electronic/Dance Album for "Alive 2007" in the same year.

The duo have not toured since 2009. They partially reacted to their touring plans when they declared that they will "definitely not touring" in 2013. But according to Rob da Bank, boss of Bestival, "I was under the influence of Xmas shopping when [I said that] so ... I'd take it with a large pinch of salt," he said. "I don't even think Daft Punk know whether they're touring [this] year!" Guardian reported.
