Double Stabbing at Wu-Tang Founder Rza's New Jersey Home, Investigation Underway

Wu-Tang Clan's RZA has had a string of bad luck and unwanted media attention lately, and now, an early morning stabbing yesterday is reportedly under investigation by the New Jersey State Police. The grammy award winning producer, film composer and actor has seen better days with what has been revealed over the past few weeks.

NJ.com reports, "New Jersey State Police responded to a report of a stabbing at a 7,937 square-foot home on Deer Trail Drive home owned by Robert Diggs, also known as RZA, at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning," according to Sgt. Gregory Williams, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson.

According to reports, it looks as if RZA was not one of the stabbed victims. "Two men sustained serious injuries and were taken to Jersey Shore University Center in Neptune. The hospital did not have a patient named Robert Diggs there on Saturday," the publication notes.

So far, no other information has been released since the Major Crimes Unit is investigating the incident. Complex magazine touched on another case allegedly involving the group and say, "Recently, there have been newly released court documents that show the FBI were investigating the Wu-Tang Clan in 1999 over the murders of two drug dealers in Staten Island."

As if life imitates art, the negative press started a year ago with the 2014 release of film Black Mansions, where the rapper played a drug lord in 2018's Detroit, Michigan, along side David Belle and the late Paul Walker, who's character was an undercover cop in what New York Post describes as, "A giant housing project set off from the rest of Detroit by a huge wall. The American remake of French action film, District 13 (or B13) was written by Schlockmeister Besson and received less than desirable reviews."

Previously, MStars News reported on the discord between Rza and original member, Raekwon, who says about the LP, A Better Tomorrow, "I felt like the album could have been better. I voiced my opinion, like, 'Yo, let's give them some real sh*t!' The album was driven more to RZA's expectations. He was coming from one way, he was wanting to try something new."

Raekwon may have been on to something since the album flopped. This brings a new meaning to "Protect Ya Neck!"
