Just a year before he's set to leave office, President Barack Obama has created a Facebook page, and the Internet cannot stop talking about it...until they get back to talking about the 2016 election, of course.
Which is still a year away, by the way.
Anyway, President Obama's Facebook page came on Monday, Nov. 9. Upon creating the page, and thus setting the Internet ablaze, the President uploaded a video detailing his plans to bring forth an awareness on climate change.
"I want to make sure that the American people are able to enjoy the incredible national parks, the incredibly beauty, the mountains, the oceans, that have been one of the greatest gifts that we've ever received," he says in the below video. "And I want to make sure that the whole world is able to pass onto future generations the God-given beauty of this planet."
President Obama further called for us all to get together, and get active, to make sure climate change is discussed in our culture.

I hope you’ll think of this as a place where we can have real conversations about the most important issues facing our country – a place where you can hear directly from me, and share your own thoughts and stories. (You can expect some just-for-fun stuff, too.)I’m kicking it off by inviting you to take a walk with me in my backyard – something I try to do at the end of the day before I head in for dinner. Now, while news of Obama's Facebook page is undoubtedly intriguing, it's not the first interaction he's had with Facebook. BuzzFeed notes that Obama had a page for his campaign, which was titled Barack Obama. Moreover, the White House also has its own page.
Still, this is the first personal page for the President of the United States.
