Ashlee Simpson, Pete Wentz Custody Battle: Fall Out Boy Rocker Concerned about Ex-Wife's 'Hard Partying,' Health of Son Bronx

After her parents recent divorce, singer Ashlee Simpson has reportedly been burning the candle at both ends, and it has ex-husband Pete Wentz worried for the safety of their 4-year-old son, Bronx.

"Ashlee is in the dog house right now with Pete," an unnamed source told Radar Online.

The source continued on to say that Wentz was "worried about the effect on Bronx if she continues in this current state" and that he "told Ashlee that enough is enough."

The Fall Out Boy bassist allegedly checked with Simpson's mother Tina to make sure that he wasn't "overreacting." Tina reportedly said that she was "worried about Ashlee too."

Reports of Simpson's out of control behavior have been widespread and appear to be in reaction to her parent's recent split and allegations that her father, Joe Simpson, is gay.

Simpson was recently in the news for eyewitness accounts of her "downing drinks like there's no tomorrow" at Los Angeles restaurant Pink Taco and several sources have speculated that Simpson's alleged drinking problem lead, in part, to the dissolution of Wentz and Simpson's marriage.

This wouldn't be the first time that Simpson's drinking got her into trouble. In 2005, Simpson was recorded being belligerent and apparently drunk inside a Canadian McDonald's.

Radar Online claims that Simpson's drinking has become enough of a problem that Wentz is considering suing for custody.

Celebrity rumor fact checking website Gossip Cop claims that the allegations of a brewing custody dust-up between Wentz and Simpson are entirely false.

The blog talked with multiple unnamed sources close to the Simpson family who reportedly said that Simpson's "main priority is Bronx." The source continued to sat that Wentz "wouldn't leave Bronx with her [Simpson]" if he was concerned about the toddler's well-being.

Wentz camp reinforced this by claiming that the couple "are working together to co-parent" their young son. Wentz seems doubly unlikely to get mired in a custody lawsuit now that his band is smack dab in the middle of a world tour.
