Supermodel and Project Runway showrunner Heidi Klum is the newest addition to the revamped judges' panel on "America's Got Talent".

Klum announced on Monday that she will join former Spice Girl Mel B ("Scary Spice"), radio legend and Sirius XM host Howard Stern and former Deal or No Deal host Howie Mandel as the latest iteration of the NBC televised talent show's panel of judges. The show will still be hosted by former Nickelodeon star Nick Cannon.

When the Simon Cowell-helmed show began in 2005, the judges' panel looked markedly different. Season 1 featured R&B singer Brandy, television star David Hasselhoff and journalist Piers Morgan as judges. Brandy left after the first season to be replaced by Sharon Osbourne . Hasselhoff left after season 4 to be replaced by Howie Mandel. Morgan left after season six and Stern stepped into his position. Osbourne left at the end of season 7 after NBC dropped a reality show featuring her son Jack, and has been replaced by Mel B and Heidi Klum.

This season's panel will be the first to feature four judges, leaving the possibility of tied votes open.

Rumors began circulating about Klum's role in the show when TMZ spotted her at the New Orleans set. Klum confirmed the rumors via Twitter.

"Excited 2 join @HowardStern @howiemandel @OfficialMelB & @NickCannon on @nbcagt as new judge! Will be so fun," the former Victoria's Secret supermodel tweeted.

NBC feels that Klum has a knack for finding true talent that people will connect with.

"As we look to develop an act that will get the world's attention, we and the contestants will benefit from Heidi's international sensibility and understanding of what works in today's global entertainment industry," NBC president of alternative programming, Paul Telegdy, said in a statement.

What do you think? Is having four judges a good idea? Is Klum prepared to X people out?
