Judge Gail Standish has quickly become the world's coolest judge for millennials to talk about for an afternoon. It's being reported that Standish has dismissed the case against the most powerful person in the world, Taylor Swift, for that whole "Shake It Off" lyrics lawsuit brought about by Jesse Braham. And the best part, the court did so by using lyrics from a number of Swift's famous tunes.

Braham tried suing Swift for an astounding $42 million, saying that the young artist stole lyrics from his song, "Haters Gone Hate." However, if you ask Judge Standish, well, that's just not the case.

This past Tuesday, the United States Central District Court dismissed the lawsuit by melding the lyrics of "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," "Bad Blood," and "We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together," together in one big "no, you are losing this one."

The conclusion read as such:

"At present, the Court is not saying that Braham can never, ever, ever get his case back in court. But, for now, we have got problems, and the Court is not so sure Braham can solve them. As currently drafted, the Complaint has a blank space – one that requires Braham to do more than write his name. And, upon consideration of the Court's explanation in Part II, Braham may discover that mere pleading Band-Aids will not fix the bullet holes in his case. At least for the moment, Defendants have shaken off this lawsuit."

While the dismissal is in itself hilarious, Judge Standish did note that there is no distinction between "play-a" and "player" as well as "gone" and "gonna" in terms of Ms. Swift's case.

So, in the end, Taylor Swift is still winning. Sorry, Braham.

Are we in the clear yet? Good.
