It was a sad season for the Married to Medicine cast. MStars News previously learned that Mariah Huq and her husband, Dr. Huq, lost twins in a miscarriage.  Now we have learned that Dr. Jackie Walters lost her father back in August. A few weeks ago, on the reunion show, Dr. Jackie Walters opened up about losing her father to Alzheimer's.

In tears, Dr. Jackie said that her dad, Robert "Leroy" Walters died on August 7th after losing his battle with Alzheimer's. She said, "As much as we knew sometimes the end of Alzheimer's is death. I don't think that I was prepared that particular day."

Dr. Jackie said that she was out of town when her father passed. She said that she couldn't understand what everyone was meaning when she got the news that her father didn't make it after he arrived at the hospital.

Dr. Jackie said that she called into the ER herself for some kind of explanation. The doctors told her that they had been working on her dad doing CPR. "So we made the decision to stop the CPR. My mom and sister were there, and I was not. I think if I had been there I would've asked them to continue the CPR." She said she just wanted her dad to say one more time, "Get away from me Jackie, because that was his line."

If you're a fan of the show you probably remember how close Dr. Jackie was to her father. She looked to him for everything, and said that she could go to her dad because he was so calm.

When her father died, Dr. Jackie posted a sweet message via Instagram that read, "Friday, August 7, 2015 my life was forever changed. I lost my Hero and Biggest fan. I was blessed to have him for 74yrs as the Greatest Daddy. I am starting an unfamiliar journey, and I hope I can continue to live up to my Father's expectation for me to be the best that I can possibly be."

Dr. Jackie also thanked her fans for their prayers and support. RIP Mr. Walters.

Thank you for your prayers during this difficult time! #teamdrjackie #married2med
