'Gotham' Season 2 Spoilers: Twitter Reacts Raul Castillo/Flamingo, Ben McKenzie/Gordon Fight!

Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, continues on Fox. During last night's Episode 9, Twitter had lots to say about the shocking fight between detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the DC Comics super villain Eduardo Flamingo (Raul Castillo).

In our previous recap, Theo promised to Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) he would tell him the name of his parent's killer, but only if he signed off Wayne Enterprises to him. In order to find the missing Mayor, Jim Gordon had to pay the mind games of his psycho ex, Barbara Kean (Erin Richards). The intense standoff between Barbara and Jim led to her falling off the rooftop of a church. While trying to dispose of Ms. Kringle's dead body, Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) had a surprising confrontation with a wounded Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor).

In our recent recap, Nygma slowly brought back Penguin to health both mentally and physically. With the hit ordered by The Lady (Michelle Gomez), Jim and Barnes (Michael Chiklis) had to face an onslaught of assassins. In the final wave, Jim fought Flamingo, who wouldn't stop laughing after each hit. Though Jim refused to kill him, while in handcuffs, Flamingo sank his teeth into an unsuspecting police officer.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Looking actor reveals how he brought the comic book character to life, "His theatricality and flamboyance were a lot of fun to play with. I read for the role and was starting to put the character together - luckily, we have Google these days, so I was able to find out a lot, as well as read the comic books. It was really, really exciting to tap into that darker side of things. I haven't had a chance to play a character like this before. Because it's the first time that we're seeing this character represented in any medium outside of the comics, as far as I know, I had this great blank canvas to work with, and all these different elements to bring in."
