Singer Justin Bieber lost a friend, 34-year old Thomas Ayad. The executive at Universal Music Group was inside of Le Bataclan theater for the Eagles of Death Metal show when he died on Nov. 13.  On the day of the Paris attacks, gunmen entered the concert and open fired at the crowd of concertgoers and killing 89 fans, reports the Daily News.

The pop star posted a message of gratitude to his friend on Twitter. It said, "Still thinking about Paris and my friend Thomas we lost in the tragedy. He was a part of the team for years and I wish I could've had more time to thank him. Make sure to appreciate people while you have them." Bieber added, "Thanks Thomas for everything you did for me. You are appreciated and missed," "Thoughts and prayers are with your family & friends." And hashtag, "#PrayForParis."

The Universal Music Group chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge released a "Dear Colleagues" letter that read in part, "This is especially painful and personal for all of us. As many of you know, the band Eagles of Death Metal is part of the UMG and Mercury France family. The band and its crew as well as our own teams from Mercury and other UMG staffs were present at the Bataclan theater for last night's show. At this point, we have confirmed that Thomas Ayad, an international product manager for Mercury Records lost his life in the attack on the theater. This is an unspeakably appalling tragedy. I cannot even begin to express the depth of my sorrow. On behalf of everyone here at UMG, we extend our most profound sympathies to his parents and all of his friends and family...," according to a copy of the full statement posted on The Wrap.

More music industry workers were found dead from the acts of terror in Paris. The 32-year-old Ayad was killed alongside colleague Marie Mosser, 24, who also worked with British band The Vamps during their tours in France. The crimes are still under investigation. While the country is in official mourning, France has received support from many Heads of State in the international community.

Bieber released new album entitled Purpose the Movement. Today, video for single, "I'll Show You" has over 40 million hits on Youtube, so far. Seems the "Hold Me Tight" singer's resurrection campaign is working, as he's dropped a few singles from the album already and pre-sales for his concert is well underway!
