The annual crossover between Arrow and The Flash is two weeks away, which means the spoilers for the episode have started emerging. The latest batch details some new character pairings and a grand total of NINE superheroes in the two-night event.

TVLine has a full preview of the episode, and the first bit of news comes from Carlos Valdes, who plays the delightful Cisco Ramon on The Flash. The actor discussed how the crossover naturally lends itself to some unique pairings among the characters that you don't get a chance to see at any other point in the season.

“One of my favorite parts about the crossover is that you get to see people that you wouldn’t otherwise see interact" have some scenes together, Valdes said. “That sort of creates a mysticism, like fireworks about it. So fans can definitely expect a lot of new relationships to blossom, and new interactions to arise.”

Valdes laughed and offered no comment when asked if he would share scenes with Katie Cassidy, which would allow Cisco to once again crush on the Black Canary.

The crossover will set up the CW's spinoff, DC's Legends of Tomorrow. This means the network will have three connected shows, an impressive feat considering Arrow only launched in 2012. That fact was not lost on star Stephen Amell, who told TVLine just how awestruck he was at a scene they filmed for the crossover that featured a whopping nine superheroes.

"Nine people with either powers or supersuits," he said. "It was an amazing thing to look out over the scene and see the world that has been built over the course of three-plus years."
